General Notes
Living in Lislea in 1901. Margaret Turner thinks she went to America. She did - arrived with my grandmother, her sister-in-law, Maggie (Bellingham) Gordon in 1913, aged 19 (Source Ellis Island Records.com).
Sue Coulter: "Mary Gordon went to America Janelle
said she died and her Grandfather sent the money for the funeral. Your uncle Tommy [Sue is confusing MY grandfather and Janelle's UNCLE] arranged it. It sounds as though she wasn't married, but Janelle said she thought she was. So why didn't the husband arrange the funeral?" Janelle might also be confusing Mary with Lizzie, whose husband died very young.
I have searched A.com extensively for her marriage, her death and any appearance in the 1920 census with no success whatsoever.
