  Must have died before 26 Dec 1859, because his wife is described as a widow when she died on that date (Calendar of Wills).

• General Notes

  Given as father of Hugh Coulter on his wedding cert. A farmer in Vow.
  TAB in both Artnagross and Vow upper- 1834
  The TAB shows John Coulter actually arriving in the Vow.  He is shown thus, "Richd Steen now John Coulter".  This suggests to me that when the TAB was being drawn up, John Coulter acquired the land of a Richard Steen.  This, the Finvoy TAB, is clearly signed off on 23rd July 1834.  The land is described as "poor arable and Bog" and totals 14/2/25 arps.
