Given as the father of Jno Gordon, married to (Blank) in 1st Kilrea Presbyterian Church records - of Lislea in 1835.
Given as father of Thomas Gordon, married in 1843, in 1st Kilrea Presbyterian Church.
In the 1826 Tithe Applotment Book, the only Thomas Gordon in Lislea is on Plot 18.
A Thomas Gordon in House 5 in Lislea in the 1831 Census is the Head of a household of 6 males and 4 females, all Presbyterian. He is the ONLY Thomas Gordon in Lislea in the 1831 Census.
Thomas Gordon Sen held Plots 25 and 26 in Lislea in the Griffiths Valuation, Plot 25 comprising 15/2/5 arps and Plot 26 comprising 3/2/0 arps. Plot 25 is just north of The Meen Plot 20, separated from it by Plot 24 so it may at one time have been the same property. Thomas lives Plot 25a, tho it is misleadingly shown as 26a on the GV.
GVRBs
- Thomas Gordon Sr is scored out of Plots 25 & 26 to James Gordon (Deaf), no date given. There is also a note in the margin that says, "James Gordon (Deaf) See Guardians Book 79" I have no idea what this means. However, I am assuming that James Gordon (Deaf) is the brother of my great great grandfather, John Gordon. 1st Kilrea Presbyterian Church refers to to a "Deaf James" in its Communicants Roll book.
- New byre built in 1889 increasing buildings rate from 30 shillings to 40 shillings
- Jas Gordon (Deaf) scored out to Thomas Gordon (?Land Side?) in 1897 and he in turn scored out to Thomasina Gordon in 1905. This fits with James dying before 1901 and his son Thomas taking over and dying himself in 1903, at which point his wife, Thomasina acquired the farm.
- No changes til the books end in 1929.
THis extensive tree is at A.com but, while it might give more info on some minor characters, I do not thnk it has anything new on the people closest to me (in fact, it has an error on the Gordon side:

It has George Gordon as a son of my Thomas Gordon not the one who married Jane Wilson.
