Went to America and therefore did not inherit any of his father's land. Interestingly he spelled his middle name and his mother's maiden name as Mackey on his application for a US Social Security number which means he pronounced it MACKey and not McAYE. This pronounciation was confirmed when I met Norman Bellingham.
Al Luce: My recent Bellingham find is a more complete listing of passengers to Seattle, WA, including Thomas MacKay & Tillie Mary Bellingham along with their sons Herbert and Thomas Charles Knox Bellingham. The family immigrated from Yellowgrass, Saskatchewan, Canada to Aldergrove Manor, Washington, USA on 23 Nov 1923. The entry noted that Thomas (born: Kilrea, hair:br, eyes:blue, 5'7"; no earlier entry to USA) had arrived at St Johns, Canada in Feb 1910 and that Tillie Bellingham (born: Ballymony, hair:aub, eyes:bro, 5'6") had transited through New York in Nov 1911 aboard SS Columbia.
