  Source: Information supplied by Gladys Bellingham to Patrick Houlihan shows the mother of Rachel Georgina McKay to be a Matilda Boyd and I have now found their marriage in Civil Records:

  30; Bachelor; Police Constable; Ballymena; Edward Mackey; Farmer; 27; Spinster; Blank; Ballaghbraddy(?); John Boyd; Farmer; James Boyd and Letitia Boyd.
  
  In Native County of Wife, Wm Mackey's RIC record shows her as being from Tipperary!!  This can not be correct as it is definitely this woman as the marriage date on the RIC record is correct at May 1853 but we know the marriage took place in Finvoy, Antrim and her parents are buried at The Vow in Antrim.
  
  If Matilda was born in 1825, her mum was 40.  She must have had earlier kids.  One I am now assuming was James of the GV.
  
  If old John died in 1859 and the GV was done in 1858 (when WAS it done?), then he was 74 and senile and his son James had the farm.  Matilda married from Bad Betty in 1853... was she the bro of James of Bellaghbeddy and was he therefore the son of son of John and Elizabeth?
  
  Is Matilda linked to the Boyds of Maddykeel - a William McKay witnessed the marriage of James Boyd of Maddykeel.
