Dorothea (Dora) Thomson

Dorothea, known as Dora, was born on March 21st, 1795 in Linlithgow and her baptism took place there on April 23rd, 1795.^1 2

Dora's father was James Thomson and her mother was Jean Duncan.  Her paternal grandparents were Philip Thomson and Dorothea Hart. She had seven brothers and six sisters, named James, Alexander, James, Thomas, William, Philip, David, Jane, Jessie, Isabella, Janet, Margaret and Helen.  She was the third oldest of the fourteen children.  She died at the age of 80 on December 25th, 1875 in Glasgow.³
