James Thomson

James' father was James Thomson and his mother was Jean Duncan.  His paternal grandparents were Philip Thomson and Dorothea Hart. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named Alexander, James, Thomas, William, Philip, David, Dora, Jane, Jessie, Isabella, Janet, Margaret and Helen.  He was the oldest of the fourteen children.  He died before 1800.²
