Jean (Jane) Thomson

Jean, known as Jane, was born on March 11th, 1797 in Linlithgow.¹²

Jane's father was James Thomson and her mother was Jean Duncan. Her paternal grandparents were Philip Thomson and Dorothea Hart. She had seven brothers and six sisters, named James, Alexander, James, Thomas, William, Philip, David, Dora, Jessie, Isabella, Janet, Margaret and Helen. She was the fourth oldest of the fourteen children. She died at the age of 80 on January 13th, 1878 in Mid Calder.³⁴
