William McMurran

William was born in 1845 in Newton-on-Ayr.¹² William's father was John McMurran and his mother was Agnes Robertson. His paternal grandparents were William McMurran and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were William Robertson and Elspeth Thomson. He had three brothers and two sisters, named James, George, John, Alice and Agnes. He was the youngest of the six children. He had a half-brother named Thomas. He died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, chronic bronchitis, myocardiac degeneration, senility, at the age of 79 on June 26th, 1924 in Springburn.³
