Alison (Alice) McMurran 
Alison, known as Alice, was born in 1843 in Newton-on-Ayr.1 2 Alice's father was John McMurran and her mother was Agnes Robertson. Her paternal grandparents were William McMurran and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were William Robertson and Elspeth Thomson. She had four brothers and a sister, named James, George, John, William and Agnes. She was the third youngest of the six children. She had a half-brother named Thomas. She died at the age of 29 in 1872 in Kilmarnock.- Death Notes
