Hugh McLatchie

Hugh was born on February 15th, 1771 in Old Cumnock and his baptism took place there.

Hugh's father was John McLatchie and his mother was Janet Crawford. He had two brothers and five sisters, named John, Robert, Janet, Marjory, Mary, Agnes and Margaret.  He was the oldest of the eight children. He had four half-brothers named Hugh, Hugh, William and William.  He died at the age of 68 on January 21st, 1840 in Quebec.  He was buried in Quebec.¹
