Mary was born on February 20th, 1892 in Ulverston.¹ Mary's father was John Maxwell and her mother was Isabella Henderson. Her maternal grandparents were Michael Henderson and Margaret Galloway. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Joe, Andrew, Jack, Harry, Maggie, Elizabeth and Ellen. She was the third youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 90 on January 1st, 1983 in Massachusetts.¹
