Gavin Ballantyne Marshall

Gavin was born in 1847 in Shotts.¹

Gavin's father was James Marshall and his mother was Christina Ballantine. His paternal grandparents were James Marshall and Elizabeth Hamilton. He had three brothers and four sisters, named James, Thomas, John, Anne, Elizabeth, Margaret and Christina. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 50 on March 25th, 1897 in Holytown.
