Elizabeth Hamilton Marshall

Elizabeth was born in 1833 in Bathgate and her baptism took place there on March 14th, 1833.¹

Elizabeth's father was John Marshall and her mother was Mary Sommerville.  Her paternal grandparents were James Marshall and Elizabeth Hamilton. She had two brothers and three sisters, named James, John, Mary, Ann and Margaret.  She was the third oldest of the six children. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas, Richard, George, Gavin and Marion.  She died at the age of 84 in 1917 in Whitburn.  She was buried in Shotts.^2 2
