Agnes' father was Hugh Kegan and her mother was Hughina Corrigan. Her paternal grandparents were Hugh Keggans and Agnes Robertson. She had four brothers and four sisters, named William, Keagins, Hugh, John, Maggie, Hughina, Hughina and Betty. She was the oldest of the nine children.
