Alexander Cunningham

Alexander was born in December 1800 in Kirknewton and his baptism took place on December 28th, 1800 in Kirkliston.¹

Alexander's father was James Cunningham and his mother was Elisabeth Walker. His paternal grandparents were John Cunningham and Hellen Aitken; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Walker and Janet Broun. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, John, James, Archibald, Janet, Helen and Elisabeth. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died due to a medical problem, fever, duration 6 weeks, at the age of 70 on March 20th, 1871 in Kirkliston.²
