William Bisset Brown

William was born in 1849 in Ecclesmachan.

William's father was James Brown and his mother was Marion Gibb. His maternal grandparents were George Gibb and Helen Cunningham. He had three brothers and five sisters, named George, James, Archibald, Helen, Elizabeth, Janet, Jessie and Marion. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 64 in 1913 in Edinburgh.
