Susannah was born on February 6th, 1818.  Susannah's father was Isaac Love and her mother was Mary Lewis.  Her maternal grandparents were Mordecai Lewis and Mary Ziegler. She had nine brothers and four sisters, named William King, James Thomas, Alexander Preston, Andrew Martin, Mordecai Lewis, Reuben Blount, Isaac Moore, Elizabeth Thompson, John Wesley, Mary Lewis, Sally KenCannon, Catherine McDonald and Margaret Mitchell Wear.  She was the seventh oldest of the fourteen children.
