Stephen Colyer 
Stephen was born in 1837 in Pulaski County, Kentucky.1 Stephen's father was John Wesley Colyer and his mother was Lydia Memes Purvis. His maternal grandparents were James Purvis and Rhoda Roberts. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named St. Clair, Lindsey Robert, Cyrenus Wait, Jehu, James Perry, Martin, Charles Grenade, Elizabeth, Harriet and Manerva (Menerva). He was the youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 18 on April 19th, 1855 in Pulaski County, Kentucky.2 General Notes
