James Perry Colyer 
James Perry was born on December 6th, 1828 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. James Perry's father was John Wesley Colyer and his mother was Lydia Memes Purvis. His maternal grandparents were James Purvis and Rhoda Roberts. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named St. Clair, Lindsey Robert, Cyrenus Wait, Jehu, Martin, Charles Grenade, Stephen, Elizabeth, Harriet and Manerva (Menerva). He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 49 in 1877.General Notes
