Jehu Colyer 
Jehu was born on February 24th, 1827 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. Jehu's father was John Wesley Colyer and his mother was Lydia Memes Purvis. His maternal grandparents were James Purvis and Rhoda Roberts. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named St. Clair, Lindsey Robert, Cyrenus Wait, James Perry, Martin, Charles Grenade, Stephen, Elizabeth, Harriet and Manerva (Menerva). He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 23 in February 1850 in Pulaski County, Kentucky.General Notes
