William Porter

William was born on May 10th, 1824 in "              "            ".¹   William's father was Philo Thomas Porter.  His paternal grandparents are Thomas Porter and Phebe Bassett. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Alfred, Philo, George Washington, Albert Miner, Daniel Webster, Polly Elmina, Almira, Phebe and Sylvia.  He was the second oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 36 on May 2nd, 1861 in New London, Huron, OH, USA.¹
