Commonwealth of Kentucky and Mary a Chandler vs. Henry Johnson, et al in 1865, James B.McWhorter, sheriff of Taylor Co., make a bond in Taylor Co. Court as sheriff to pay over money to people. His securities were Henry Johnson, Calloway Underwood, Wm. F. Gilpin, Thomas Dicken, Geroge W. Buchanan, S. M. Shively, R. W. Shively, and James B. Beams. While Mc Whorter was sheriff, and execution in favor of Mary a. Chander vs. B. W. Griffin and A. F. Gowdy was put into his hands for collection. He has not paid the money over to her. McWhorter and his securities have broken the bond. Plaintiff wants to collect $87 plus 15 % interest . Judgement for the plaintiff.

Whereas on the 2nd day of April 1833 Morgan Jones executed a title bond attested by William Buckner & Robert Buckner to James Bell and John Bell, For the conveyance of a certain piece or parcel of land then in Green, now in Taylor County on the head waters of Little Brush Creek and some on the waters of Pitman creek including the farm on which said Morgan Jones then lived containing about three hundred and five acres. And the said James Bell on the 25th day of September 1837 assigned the sand land to Lewis Bell, which said assignment is attested by James Sympson and the said John Bell afterwards on the 6th day of January 1840 assigned said land as aforesaid to Calloway Underwood. Which said assignment is attested by John D. Oaks and whereas it appearing to the County Court of Taylor County that Morgan Jones has departed this life intestate and the said County Court at its March term 1849 appointed the undersigned commissioners to convey to the said Lewis Bell and Calloway Underwood the right and tititle to said land from the heirs of Morgan Jones, deceased, Who left as heirs the following persons, viz: The unknown heirs of Jonathon Jones, dec'd, Lewis Jones, Henry Mears and Elizabeth Mears his wife, late Jones, Allen Jones, Jeremiah Jones, Martin Jones, Milley Jones, Sally Jones, Rachael Jones, James Jones and Morgan Jones Jr. wherefore this Indenture made and entered into this 12th day of March 1849. By and between E. L. barbee, R. S. Montague and S. M. Adair commissioners, Appointed by the County Court of Taylor as aforesaid of the one part and Lewis Bell and Calloway Underwood of the second part, Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part as aforesaid for and in consideration of the premises aforesaid have this day granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and do by these presents grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the party of the second part a certain piece or parcel of land on the headwaters of Little Brush Creek and some on the waters of Pitmans Creek supposed to contain about three hundred and five acres and same on which Morgan Jones lived in the year 1833. The right and titile to the above described land with all its appurtenaces, rights and priveliges, The said party of the first part hereby warrants against themselves, their heirs and all and every person or persons claiming by through or under them to the party of the first part Their Executors, administrators or assigns. In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals as commissioners as aforesaid this 12th day of March 1849
