Nancy Jennie Underwood

Nancy Jennie was born in 1816 in Kentucky.  Nancy Jennie's father was Hiram Underwood and her mother was Celia Buley.  Her paternal grandfather was James Underwood and her paternal grandmother is Keziah Unknown. She had nine brothers and three sisters, named William C., William A., Thomas E., Calloway, Anderson, Mason, Lafayette, Green Berry, Hiram ,Jr., Virginia Jane, Celia and Mary Jane.  She was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children.  She died at the age of 36 in January 1852 in Taylor Co.,Kentucky.

‌Nancy Jennie and Lewis were married in a religious ceremony on September 28th, 1833 in Green Co.,Kentucky.  They had four sons and five daughters, named William, Jefferson, Alfred, Jeremiah, Jane, Ann, Sally, Nancy A. and Sealy.
