Larkin W. Gilreath 
Larkin W. was born in 1796 in Wilkes County,NC. Larkin W.'s father was Alexander Gilreath and his mother was Elizabeth Souther. His paternal grandparents were William Gilreath and Mary Arrington. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Jeremiah, George, James Harvey, Noah, Mary "Polly", Rhoda L., Lucy and Elizabeth. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 54 in 1850 in Carroll County,MO.General Notes
Larkin W. Gilreath followed his cousin William in migrating from Wilkes
County, North Carolina to Kentucky. In 1819 he obtained grants for 350
acres in three tracts on Indian Creek in Cumberland County, KY.
