Delilah was born about 1795. Delilah's father was William , Jr. Gilreath and her mother was Sarah "Sallie" Jones. Her paternal grandparents were William Gilreath and Mary Arrington. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Hugh, Henry H., Hardie Jones, William Hilliar., Hiram, Martha P., Rebecca and Susanna. She is the fourth youngest of the nine children.-
