Sarah "Sallie" Jones 
General Notes
Sarah Jones was the daughter of Richard Jones of Granville/Bute/Warren
County, North Carolina. His will lists a daughter as "Sarah Gilreath."
However, some researchers believe that the Sarah Jones who married
William was Saraham Jones the daughter of Benjamin and Johannah Jones.
Their daughter, also named Johannah, married William's brother, John
Gilreath. The question is further complicated by the fact that a James
Jones, on December 3, 1779, signed the bond for the marriage of William
Gilreath, Jr. and Sarah Jones.Benjamin and Johannah Jones had a son
named James who would have been about the same age as William Gilreath,
Jr.
Sarah "Sallie" and William , Jr. were married in a religious ceremony on December 3rd, 1779 in Warren County,NC. They had five sons and four daughters, named Hugh, Henry H., Hardie Jones, William Hilliar., Hiram, Martha P., Delilah, Rebecca and Susanna.

William Hilliar. was born in 1790 in NC. He died at the age of 82 in 1872.
