Mary Eliza was born on September 23rd, 1861 in Eight Miles Point,Austin Co.,Texas. Mary Eliza's father was James William Allen and her mother was Penelope Johnston. Her paternal grandparents were Miles Norton Allen and Mary Penelope Dodson; her maternal grandparents were John L. Johnson and Eliza McGee. She had five brothers and two sisters, named James, Miles Johnson, Samuel Norton, John Linder, Jack L., Winnie Margaret and Susan Penelope. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 82 on April 9th, 1944.-
