Jack L. Allen 
Jack L. was born in August 1868 in Eight Miles Point,Austin Co.,Tx.. Jack L.'s father was James William Allen and his mother was Penelope Johnston. His paternal grandparents were Miles Norton Allen and Mary Penelope Dodson; his maternal grandparents were John L. Johnson and Eliza McGee. He had four brothers and three sisters, named James, Miles Johnson, Samuel Norton, John Linder, Winnie Margaret, Susan Penelope and Mary Eliza. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 74 in 1942.-
