Isabela was born in 1228 in Bramber Castle, Sussex, England.  Isabela's father was William (Black Will) de Braose and her mother was Eve Marshal.  Her paternal grandparents were Reginald de Braose and Grace (Gracia) de Briwere; her maternal grandparents were William the Protector Marshal and Isabel Fitz Richard Strongbow de Clare. She had three sisters named Maud, Eve and Eleanor. She had two half-brothers named Roger II de St. Maur of and William II de St. Maur of Undy &.  She died about 1246 in Nunnery at Godstow, near Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England.


Isabela's family with Dafydd II ap Llywelyn Fawr

‌Isabela and Dafydd II ap Llywelyn were married in a religious ceremony in 1229.  They had a daughter named Anne ferch.
