*Elizabeth was born about 1684 in Norwalk,CT. *Elizabeth's father was *John Whitney and her mother was *Elizabeth Smith. Her paternal grandparents were *Henry Whitney and *Sarah Soloman; her maternal grandparents were *Richard Smith and *Bathsheba Roberts. She had six brothers and three sisters, named John, Joseph, Henry, Richard, Nathan, Josiah, Anne, Eleanor and Sarah. She was the fourth oldest of the ten children.
