*John (Sr) was born on January 11th, 1726 in Ridgefield,Fairfield,CT. *John (Sr)'s father was *Joseph Keeler and his mother was *Elizabeth Whitney. His paternal grandparents were *Samuel Keeler and *Sarah St.John; his maternal grandparents were *John Whitney and *Elizabeth Smith. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Isaac, Martin, Lot, Paul, Silas, Elijah, Rachel, Elizabeth and Sarah. He was the second youngest of the eleven children.
