‌John and Esther were married in a religious ceremony on February 14th, 1832 in ,Woodford,KY.  They had four sons and five daughters, named Robert James, Hugh Paul, Archibald Campbell, John William, Martha Ann, Sarah Jane, Elizabeth Frances, Nancy Taylor and Susan Millen.
