Her paternal grandparents were William Godfrey Morris and Nancy Young; her maternal grandparents were Archibald GORDON and Elizabeth OLIVER. She had a brother and three sisters, named James William, Charlotte Temple, Nancy Elizabeth and Harriet Noel. She was the second oldest of the five children. She had three half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named Thomas Joseph, Seigle Messer, Benjamin F., Priscilla, Ellen, Laura E., Amanda, Charlotte Ellen, Esther Amelia, Jessa E. and Julia Adaline. She died at the age of 75 on July 28th, 1912 in Dutch Bethel,Owen,IN. She was buried in Barnes Cemetery,Owen,IN.General Notes
I have her as being born in Owen County since her parents appeared to have left Shelby County shortly after their marriage. She was living with her father in her Granfather Morris' home in Shelby County in 1850.
