William Black

William was born on November 3rd, 1780.¹   William's father was William Black and his mother was Sarah Hicklin.  His paternal grandfather was Alexander Black; his maternal grandfather was Thomas Hicklin. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Alexander, George, Robert, Margaret, Ginney, Rachel and Nancy.  He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.  He died before 1827.¹
