Robert Black

Robert was born on July 14th, 1786.¹   Robert's father was William Black and his mother was Sarah Hicklin.  His paternal grandfather was Alexander Black; his maternal grandfather was Thomas Hicklin. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Alexander, George, William, Margaret, Ginney, Rachel and Nancy.  He was the second youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 42 on December 6th, 1828.¹ 

They had four sons and two daughters, named Asa, John Wilson, Alexander, Miller, Margaret and America.
