Olive Bassett

Olive was born in 1828. Olive's father was Nymphas Bassett and her mother was Thankful Bruce. Her paternal grandparents were Rufus Bassett and Jedidah Handy. She had eight brothers and a sister, named Bernard Handy, Jonah Bruce, Sylvester, Samuel, Jeremiah O., Nymphus, Oliver Clemens, Rufus and Hannah. She was the third youngest of the ten children.

‌Olive and Lewis were married in a religious ceremony on April 26th, 1849 in Shelby,IN.
