James Thomas Zike 
James Thomas was born in 1835 in Kentucky. James Thomas' father was William Allen Zike and his mother was Lydia Goforth. His paternal grandparents were Jacob "Zeuch" Zike and Katherine Lucinda Avey; his maternal grandfather was Thomas Goforth. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Jacob, Alexander, George W., Francis M., Samuel Pinkerton, Casandra and Nancy J.. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 83 in 1918 in Nebraska. He was buried in Edison Cemetery, Edison, Furnas, Nebraska.General Notes
