Clarence Freeman was born on July 30th, 1872 in Nebraska.  Clarence Freeman's father was James Thomas Zike and his mother was Malinda Baker.  His paternal grandparents were William Allen Zike and Lydia Goforth. He had six brothers and four sisters, named William Allen, Samuel Lawrence, James Wesley, Arthur M., Ralph A., Burt, Sarah E., Mary C., Bernice E. and Lottie Mae.  He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 94 in 1966 in Arapahoe, Nebraska.
