Francis M. Zike 
Francis M. was born in 1841 in Kentucky. Francis M.'s father was William Allen Zike and his mother was Lydia Goforth. His paternal grandparents were Jacob "Zeuch" Zike and Katherine Lucinda Avey; his maternal grandfather was Thomas Goforth. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Jacob, James Thomas, Alexander, George W., Samuel Pinkerton, Casandra and Nancy J.. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 21 on April 6th, 1862 in Shiloh, Tennessee (Killed in Civil War).General Notes
Francis was in the Civil War in an Iowa regiment, he never returned home
from the Civil War.
