Onnie Glenn was born on August 28th, 1907 in Smithville, Monroe Co., Indiana. Onnie Glenn's father was Nathan Homer Shields and his mother was Nellie East. His paternal grandparents were David Thomas Shields and Sarah Frances Mize. He had a brother and four sisters, named Harold U., Marie E., Iola Gayle, Doris A. and Wilma J.. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 80 on May 6th, 1988 in Monroe County, Indiana. He was buried in Clear Creek Cemetery, Clear Creek, Monroe Co., Indiana.-
