Almeda Shields 
Almeda was born on June 20th, 1879 in Monroe County, Indiana. Almeda's father was David Thomas Shields and her mother was Sarah Frances Mize. Her paternal grandparents were William Henry Harrison Shields and Mary Ellen Hudlin. She had five brothers and six sisters, named David Francis, Charles Mahlon, James Henry, Nathan Homer, Troy, Mary Elizabeth, Lillie Christina, Laura Agnes, Sarah Jane "Jennie", Ola Mae and Rosa Leona. She was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 22 on October 4th, 1901 in Monroe County, Indiana. She was buried on October 7th, 1901 in Shield's Cemetery, Polk Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana.-
