Samuel Scott 
Samuel was born on October 28th, 1808 in Jessamine County, Kentucky. Samuel's father was James Scott and his mother was Susannah Zike. His maternal grandparents were Jacob "Zeuch" Zike and Katherine Lucinda Avey. He had two brothers and three sisters, named John Park Curtis, William, Mitilda, Melinda and Margaret Catherine. He was the oldest of the six children. He had five half-brothers named Jacob Botkins, Infant, Infant, Benjzmin Franklin and Alexander. He died at the age of 40 on January 4th, 1849 in Jackson County, Indiana. He was buried in Scott Cemetery, W. Clearsprings, Jackson, Indiana.-
