William Scott 
William was born on October 17th, 1834. William's father was Samuel Scott and his mother was Parmelia Haggard. His paternal grandparents were James Scott and Susannah Zike. He had five brothers and three sisters, named James, John Park Custis, David, Samuel Thornton, Samuel, Melinda Catharine, Mary Elizabeth and Sally Ann. He was the third oldest of the nine children.-
