Melinda Scott 
Melinda was born on October 24th, 1816 in Jessamine County, Kentucky. Melinda's father was James Scott and her mother was Susannah Zike. Her maternal grandparents were Jacob "Zeuch" Zike and Katherine Lucinda Avey. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, John Park Curtis, William, Mitilda and Margaret Catherine. She was the second youngest of the six children. She had five half-brothers named Jacob Botkins, Infant, Infant, Benjzmin Franklin and Alexander.-
