Thomas Markin 
Thomas was born on March 4th, 1790 in Virginia.1 Thomas' father was Charles W I Markin and his mother was Lucinda Dechard. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, John, Charles W II, Daniel H., Cornelius B., Andrew, James M., William H, Martha and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 68 on September 20th, 1858 in Harrison, Black County, Indiana.1 
‌Thomas and Francis were married in a religious ceremony on July 24th, 1817 in Lawrence County, Ohio.1 They had three sons and four daughters, named Christopher Richard, Oliver Hazard Perry, Thomas Jefferson, Mary, Lucinda D, Eliza and Sarah Ann.
