Mary Markin 
Mary was born in 1818 in Lawrence County, Ohio.1 Mary's father was Thomas Markin and her mother was Francis Sumter. Her paternal grandparents were Charles W I Markin and Lucinda Dechard. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Christopher Richard, Oliver Hazard Perry, Thomas Jefferson, Lucinda D, Eliza and Sarah Ann. She was the oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 27 in August 1845 in Blackford County, Indiana.1 
‌Mary and Thomas were married in a religious ceremony on November 14th, 1833 in Lawrence County, Ohio.1 They had three sons and a daughter, named John, Henry H, George Washington and Elizabeth.

George Washington was born on June 16th, 1841.1 He died at the age of 65 on January 17th, 1907.1
