John Langdon 
John was born in 1837 in Indiana.1 John's father was Thomas Langdon and his mother was Mary Markin. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Markin and Francis Sumter. He had two brothers and a sister, named Henry H, George Washington and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 23 in 1860 in Indiana.1 
John and Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on March 6th, 1854 in Delaware County, Indiana.1 They had a son and a daughter, named James U and Mary E.
