Eliza Markin 
Eliza was born on March 15th, 1825 in Lawrence County, Ohio.1 Eliza's father was Thomas Markin and her mother was Francis Sumter. Her paternal grandparents were Charles W I Markin and Lucinda Dechard. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Christopher Richard, Oliver Hazard Perry, Thomas Jefferson, Mary, Lucinda D and Sarah Ann. She was the third oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 90 on May 8th, 1915 in Blackford County, Indiana.1 
Eliza and John Henry were married in a religious ceremony on September 16th, 1841 in Blackford County, Indiana.1 They had four sons and four daughters, named George Warren, Lorenzo W, Thomas, John M, Sarah Frances, Mary Etta, Rachel and Nancy Elizabeth.
