John Markin

John was born on July 1st, 1797 in Virginia.¹   John's father was Charles W I Markin and his mother was Lucinda Dechard. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, Thomas, Charles W II, Daniel H., Cornelius B., Andrew, James M., William H, Martha and Elizabeth.  He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children.

‌John and Martha were married in a religious ceremony on November 2nd, 1823.¹   They had a son named Charles.
